| Amity Brawl Site Rules The following are the rules you must follow to use these forums. Failure to obey these rules may result in loss of site privileges and/or banning of your account. Each rule is displayed with a description and a list of possible punishments. The punishments are measured based on by what percent it will raise your warn level. For more information on how the warn system works click here. Please note these rules may change at anytime with out notice. Last Updated: 11/10/08 @ 3:59 PM (1) General Site Rules 1.1 Flaming Flaming is when you say something offensive or insulting to someone. It is a direct attack on another user. Please always remember to be polite to other people on the forums.
1.2 Trolling Trolling is when you say something to try to egg another user or users in order to start a flame war.
1.3 Inappropriate/Objectionable Content Do not post any material that would be considered generally unacceptable or objectionable by the forum as a whole. This includes but is not limited to any sexually explicit content whether it be in the form of pictures or text. Any such content will be removed immediately.
1.4 Discussing Staff Matters with Non-Staff Staff matters such as bans, warnings, and all other staff related info should only be discussed with staff members an the member involved. These conversations should not be conducted on the public boards.
(2) Forum Rules 2.1 Bypassing the Language Filter Do not bypass the language filter by replacing characters with nonsense ones, *ing out certain characters or in any other way. You also may not substitute swears with *'s or with any other kind of character, this is considered bypassing the language filter as well.
2.2 Spamming Spamming is when you post random characters or nonsense phrases like "I like pie!!!" or posts only composed of "lol" or "XD". 'Bumping' is another form of spam. It's when you post little to no information to a topic just to get it a higher listing on the board or just to get your own post count up. Posting links on the forums to other sites for any reason other than as an informational reference is also considered spam. You may however put these links in your signature or profile. Spam is not allowed on the forums anywhere except for on the Spam Board.
2.3 Off Topicness/Posting on the Wrong Board Please keep in mind to only post things related to the topic you're discussing on the forums. Also, when you make a new topic, make sure it goes in the correct forum/board.
2.4 Friend Codes Friend codes may not be posted on the public boards. Instead please register your friend codes in the built in Friend Code Registry. In the event the game you want to trade FCs for isn't listed in the registry then the FCs may be traded via PM.
2.5 Discussion of Illegal Activities or Objects Detailed discussion of anything breaking local or international laws is strictly forbidden. This includes but is not limited to the discussion of illegal drugs, destructive hacking, piracy, ROMS, and illegal acts of violence (that take place outside of a video game or movie).
(3) Account Rules 3.1 Multiple Accounts/Account Sharing You are allowed exactly ONE account per person. Do not create extra accounts to bump your topics, because your original one was banned, or for any other reason. You also may not share accounts between multiple people. One account per person, one person per account.
3.2 Impersonating Staff Impersonating staff by telling others you are staff or by making your post look like was edited by staff when it was not is a very serious offense.
3.3 Exploiting Site Loopholes or Glitches/Hacking Hacking or exploiting loopholes in the site will result in serious disciplinary action. It is your responsibility to immediately report any glitches or loopholes you find. If you report them and do not make use of them you will not be punished.
Please note that the penalties above are only guidelines and that much more sever punishments could result from rule breaking. Just remember to use common sense when posting and interacting with others on the forums and you should do fine. ![]() |
