Jack of all trades...
If you've gotta have 50 posts to be an idiot in the spam board, what'll stop someone with no posts from being an idiot in the Debate Board?

I think there should be a 100 post limit, or something. We need SOME restriction!
Oh. Uh oh. Crap. This again. *Hides*

100 posts sounds reasonable, maybe a little high though

Placing a post limit on a debate board would turn away new intelligent members. It would really put people off that they could not participate in serious discussions because they did not have enough posts. I see the reason for having the 50 posts for the spam board. The spam board is a privilege given to active people. But if you start putting post limits on multiple boards, it will create a spam problem. People will flood topics with posts that have no thought to them. Cael, you don't have 100 posts yet so does that make you unfit and not smart enough to post in a debate topic?

The thing that stops people from being idiots on the debate or any board is the staff. Sure a post limit would stop new members from posting spam but it would also stop them from contributing to the conversation. Stopping the spam is easy to combat with the existence of the admins.

Actually... after reading Sinister Duck's theory, i would have to agree with her. It would help attract more people with the potential to do more right off the bat. Of course it puts more work on the Mods unfortunately to screen stuff, but if your willing to take the punch it may be beneficial.

It is a sound theory to consider *scratches goatee in thought*

Its their duty to the site to check and prevent spam. Its not asking something way out of the line for them to do.

And, of course, a high post count doesn't mean you wont spam. It just means you posted a lot.
