Yes	ZetaBoards allows for uploaded avatars, better graphics, more customizable skins and HTML. ProBoards has many hacks available that are easy to use and implement, such as RPG Stats, Money, Buddy/Ignore Lists, Special Tags (Dice, spoiler, whisper, etc) reporting, etc. Which should I use?
